Parasound Is A Pretty Darn Cool Company

So after agonizing for quite a while I couldn't take it any more and bought Rick's (rromeo923) Parasound HCA-800II and C/PT-600. There doesn't seem to be much said about these units on the web so I emailed Parasound service. Later that day I get a response from none other than Richard Schram, founder and President of Parasound Products, Inc. How cool is that!

Anyway, he is going to have his tech department see what they can dig up and send to me.

This kind of service really makes a person feel proud to own their products (kind of like Polk Audio).

Yep, I am a long time loyal Parasound customer too. I had an email dialogue directly with Richard as well a few years back. I had an AVC-2500 pre-amp and when Blu-ray hit the market, I was interested in pursuing the analog upgrade because the default setup would not pass HD codecs. Well, much to my dismay, the company that built the upgraded board, went under and they were no longer available. Parasound still had the upgrade showing on their website as available. I contacted Parasound, and let me tell you...Richard is about the nicest and professional person that I have ever worked with. The upgraded 7100 Classic pre-amp was what I needed, and Richard set up a trade for my AVC-2500, and I paid the difference for a new 7100 classic. That doesn't happen very often with a manufacturer.

As long as Parasound keeps developing, I'll keep buying. My 2205 amp is still going strong after 10+ years!

after spending countless number of hours to decide on a Pre amp i finally bought Parasound A51

one of the main reason being customer service ... "company has good ethics and treat their customers right" is the conclusion of all the threads i read.

Parasound is a great company. I had a technical question regarding my JC-2 preamp which I sent them an e-mail about on the weekend. Got an answer back from Richard himself within an hour. Not saying that would happen every time, but that was good service.

Been too long already. If you don't get that puppy hooked up and singing soon, I'm going to have to send Cathy over to pay you a visit.

Gotcha, just saying if it was me, I would head over to a local Best Buy and grab a pair of Audioquest IC's and hook her up in the meantime. That amp is going to change your perspective of audio when compared to your receiver's built in amps.
