Looks like a nice table. I'm surprised our "vinyl" guys haven't chimed in. To tell you the truth. I grew up with sXXXty tables and that's pretty much what I'm used to. Not interested in tracking down some High End behemoth with a 50 lbs platter and Wernher Von Braun rocket metal tone arm and cartridge.

I have a couple of $160-250 MSRP '70s tables that do the job. I collect a few pieces of vinyl a year, it's NOT my favorite medium. Too fussy, too cheap, too fragile, too much upkeep! All the BAD things I 'remember' as a child about this medium. The fact that you can get advanced cleaning machines for 100s of dollars, and cartridges that cost more than $2000 does NOT do anything for me, personally. It's too rarefied an environment, too much work. Destroys the musical enjoyment which should be "effortless". But that's just me. My "mind" is always working to the extent that there is a fine line between my sanity and the looney bin. If I start "obsessing" about vinyl, I WILL find myself in a padded room, lol. So vinyl must remain a sideline for me. I can't afford to devote too much gray matter to it, if you know what I mean.

On the other hand we have some members who have near eidetic memories who have to be constantly filling up their storage centers. The problem there? Once you KNOW everything, you have trouble thinking of something "new"! You have trouble "risking" being WRONG, putting your foot in your mouth, making a "creative mistake" for god's sake!

Music is not for "thinking", at least not for me. I can't even remember the lyrics to an entire song, any song. But I never forget a melody because I don't have to think about that! And it's WONDERFUL!

Attachment not found.Cnh i feel the same way. I dont want to spend alot & for the bucks you can get a decent tt for cheap money on a budget
Soundfreak1 its up n running. Came with a extra cart new-i lubed it-cleaned it up- listened to Guess Who Greatest Hits. Sounds great for what it is. May need some playing around. Change of plans-hooked it to the Adcom so i can twist vinyl downstairs. Will find out later if its WF LOL.. I will not be using remote that is factory-which plugs in front. just adds to clutter Time to enjoy :)

And sometimes that's all that matters. Some want more and don't see it as a burden. It is a beautiful table. $50 a great price. Congrats!

I have a A35 without the remote option. What does the remote allow? Start and stop and can you lift and drop needle ect...?

    Thanks.

Yup, no arguments from me, it is a remote control. Just not wireless or infrared. They had cable connected remote controls for tape decks too and we called them remotes.

Thanks. It's also a big distraction, sometimes nothing gets done but sit and listen down there....lol

Thanks! You have a need for a cassette deck? I have a TC-320 I'll be clearing out. IIRC I replaced the belt, then came across the 720.

It's the one in this pic.

Sorry I didn't have the chance to answer PM yet. I don't think so. I'm thinking the pic was adjusted for brightness. I need to pop the lid and fix the other one and I'll see.

I was wrong, the 320 needs a belt. It slips and I have one ordered. Fortunately it is just stiff and not turned to goo like the 720's had.
