Wow, really?
People really listen to music like this?

Some probably "hear" music like that anyways.....--Gary--
Onkyo Integra M504, Bottlehead Foreplay III, Denon SACD, Thiel CS2.3, NHT VT-2, VT-3 and Evolution T6, Infinity RSIIIa, SDA1C and a few dozen other speakers around the house I change in and out. -
Yes. They want to hear all the music.
I hear surround is up to 11.1 these days, so guys like this right here might be pioneers. Maybe not. -
they must be snobs:-D
-
Maybe they like equipment more than music.
Which is fine.
Can you imagine the cable cost in that system? -

I can't fault anyone for having a lot of hi-fi gear, many of us have been at this hobby for many decades and accumulate gear over 30 -40 years. Enjoy it for all it's worth, love all the vintage pieces.

You obviously haven't seen any of the pictures Mystery has posted of his set up..."Some people find it easier to be conceited rather than correct."
"Unwad those panties and have a good time man. We're all here to help each other, no matter how it might appear." DSkip -

Actually, Nightfall has been to my place when he came for the Monitor 4's.

Probably not that much if you're using 100' rolls of standard 14 gauge copper wire. But I suspect that may very well be your point.
There are lots of shots like that over at AK.org Multiple systems wired with switchers and boards. I doubt the dude listens to ALL of that at the same time! Unless he has a band and they jam to it?
Like mhardy, I have a few things stacked. In the basement there are four silver face receivers and a Sansui integrated plus the following speakers: Boston A. A100s, OLAdvents, EPI 100Vs, Nova 7Bs, and a set of Celestion Ditton DL6IIs. Some of those will be moving on to new homes soon. And I don't have an entire wall like the guy above. lol But all of that has been "fun" to listen to.
There is more on the second floor in my office. As well as a Vector Research VR5000 and a set of EPI 120Cs in the HT room for some vintage two channel relief.
mhardy has some nice stuff in that rack!
