It's hard to pass up. The guy obviously does not know what he has in his possession.

What do you mean "old dB pole cap"? Those are orginal, never been mounted, dB 8's. The new DB series does not even have subs and the MOMO Carbon Series are the subs matched best with the new DB series of speakers. The Top end MOMO series would be the best equivalent for those subs if the MOMO was offered in an 8 inch sized sub.

actually the db series is imo better than the momo series in a subjective manner. objectively, one is smoother than the other, one 'more powerful' than the other... and it balances out as equals in the end.

By "old pole cap" I am referring to the printed words on the center cap... they changed the design on it later years to blue lettering and such. I have a set of the older DB12 subs.
    --- That's what I was referring to.

You do not have a set of dB subs. The dB subs were never any color but black and white and they had fleckstone style baskets. Your blue writing subs are the DX series which were not as good as the dB subs but they were meant to replace them.

blue writing on dust cap = dx series.

and since i think i'm teh self proclaimed king of the dx series line as a whole, having owned lets see now....

    1 set dx3065 components
    1 set dx3055 components
    1 pair dx 6 coaxials
    1 pair dx 5.25 coaxials
    5 pair (yes 5) dx 9 6x9's coaxials
    4 dx 10 subwoofers
    4 dx 12 subwoofers

... and i may end up buying more. go figure. i'm obsessive aint i?
