Thinking of getting these with a Yaqin Mc 10l amp what kind of wire would be best thinking of going with 16 gauge 2 conductor

Should be fine. Those speakers like a lot of power however. While that amp is a tube amp, it still only puts out 52w. On the forum many have said 300w brings Monitor 70's alive. Try it out however, you might love the way it sounds.Main Surround -

WELCOME TO CLUB POLK!
DSkip is right. 50 watts a side of tube power can manhandle a lot of speaker! I'm not sure what M-70s would sound like on a tube amp. I've never tried that. But they certainly open up on the Adcom in my sig below. A somewhat underrated speaker. Will give you more than you need for basic HT sound unless you "really" have to have the best, they are MORE than adequate.
I run them with a CS2 and some M-30 surrounds off the Onkyo 805 with a 300 watt/600 watt peak 12" sub and it's all my little 11.5' x 16.5' listening space can handle!
Have fun!

I would use minimum 14 ga. wire, that was the question I guess. BTW, that Yaqin will be just fine.HT SYSTEM-
