I don't like the "high contrast white" keyboard and overall color scheme. Other than that I don't have any major complaints (yet).

Updated my iPad 3 and iPhone 5 last night and been playing a while (since i'm on vacation). The first thing that jumps out is SPEED. Apps are alot snappier and faster. It has a cleaner look. Navigating between open apps and even closing them is quick and easy.

There are alot of little things i'm discovering that, while may not seem big to everyone, are big to me.

Big thumbs up so far! Great job Apple!
    No excuses!

I'd originally created a thread on iOS 7 and was pointing this discussion to that thread but forgot that it had turned into another Apple vs the world debate and got derailed

So far, I like it as well. The interface seems less cluttered.

I'm liking iOS 7. A few things that I really like are:

    - New, cleaner UI, I always found the skeuomorphic design of iOS goofy, though it never really bothered me much, this design is way better
    - Control Center, and I like how it comes up from the bottom vs in the notification tray ala Android
    - Notification Center, the changes here are nice and I like the new content and look
    - Safari changes, I like the new full screen look and the easier navigation thru pages, and like the new tabs interface as well
    - Camera app is much better, easier to change between shooting modes
    - Finally the ability to actually blocks calls, I'd like to be the first to welcome Apple to the 21st century!
    - iTunes Radio is cool, and if you're an iTunes Match user it's even better with no ads and (unlike P

First thing my 15yo daughter said is, "It looks like my old Galaxy did...I like it!" after I updated her iPhone 5 last night.

Have it on my iPad and so far it is fine.
Haven't updated my iPhone 5 yet.

Yeah, the flat design is definitely a cue taken from Android. It's really the way it should have been all along, but they let Scott Forstall have too much power for too long because of the early success of the iPhone and iOS. I 'get' the skeumorphic design of the initial iOS because it was revolutionary at the time and it probably did aid people in equating apps on the phone to things in real life, it probably helped the phone be as successful as it was. But after a couple years and different iterations people know what a smartphone is and how to use it, and we don't need the visual references to the real world material version of those apps.

Swiping up to kill an app is also borrowing from Web OS :). I like iOS7 so far except for the high contrast keybard

I should find myself a used ipod touch someday. I do love my Android devices but it would be cool to play with something new. Can ios 7 be installed on any apple device or just the newest gen?

Also, are the newest idevices still jailbreak(able)? Is that a word?

It's not just the new devices, but also doesn't go back to the original iPhone, there's a list online of which devices can run iOS 7. I doubt there's a jailbreak out yet for iOS 7.

I don't like that they seemed to change some things just for the sake of change. Why rearrange the calculator layout and change the signal strength from bars to dots? Don't like the look of text messaging.

iPad 2 was quick and painless to update.

iPhone 5 is now a brick. Update failed, tried to do a reset and the device just freezes on the Apple logo. I plug it in and iTunes won't recognize it as an iPhone...
So I get to go to the Apple store and toss my phone at someone's head after work.

I just went back to IOS6. It's simple process. Just put your iPhone into DFU mode (plug into iTunes, power off, hold down Sleep/Wake and Home button for 8 seconds, let go of the power button and continue to hold down the home button until iTunes alerts you. The screen should be black) and follow iTunes through there.

Upgraded yesterday morning on my lowly iPhone 4. Took all of 20 minutes total. Though I wish the colors weren't so bright (a touch of grey to tone them down), overall I'm very impressed.

Been using it for about a day and a half and really do love it. I'm discovering alot of new things all the time. Navigating between apps is faster. The colors don't bother me at all. I've always used my iPad and iPhone with the screen brightness at about 50% anyway, so it's not an issue with iOS7. The Calendar looks cleaner and more professional as does everything else. Both devices seem much snappier.
    No excuses!

that's not the OS it's the remnants from the hack that happened last week, no option on any devices to change layout
