Hope any of you working in the Naval shipping area of D.C. are safe. Another frickin' shooter. Whats wrong with people ? Don't know how many shooters yet but it's a mess as can be expected. Stay safe any of you in that area.

    Yea people seem to have lost their marbles in some instances....last I heard was the shooter has been subdued...hope they didn't kill him...can't get information from a corpse unfortunately!

    I saw one report that said admiral Allahu A Akbar was involved, as he was called out while the shooting was taking place. I am uncertain as to the quality of the report however.


    Other reports say an AR-15 was used because the staccato of three round bursts could be heard. That report would be 100% inaccurate, and lead me to believe the shooter had access to the M-16, as it has such a capability. the AR does not.

    My prayers for the recovery of the survivors, and to the families of those lost.

    M16A1 three shot bursts......one shooter D.O.A....possibility of a second..no definitive word on that though...very tragic for all involved...sad!

    The A2 is also set for three round bursts, along with a host of others derived from the same receiver group.

    You know that's just the first shot John. We'll get to rehash this whole debate again in the press won't we ? Now, can the argument be made that by disarming our military on base has allowed these nutjobs free reign, like shooting fish in a barrel ? Guess we have to thank a former prez for that one. Anyway, hope they catch all the shooters.....justice is another story.

    This just happened. Of course there is going to be some confusion. The problem is every news channel, news station, news website, etc. wants to be the first with the 'news'. So, as soon as somebody says anything they will run with it. Then people start splitting hairs over what was said.

    Agreed Fox, all the more reason why anyone making statements either for or against labeling the situation "workplace violence" is just down right incompetent.

    The death toll keeps rising, but like the Boston bombings, we just have to wait for everything to unfold. Prayers for all those involved with this tragedy.

    And you have to be a FIRST CLASS F*** UP to get that! I served with guys who were complete s***bags, and got HD's!

    That being the case, how the hell did this guy have access to the Navy Yard to begin with? Given the information at hand, this guy should have never been allowed access and his track record with a weapon would seem to support a conclusion that he obtained them illegally.

    Somebody failed to do some due diligence on his background check. He should have never been allowed to join the Navy to begin with.

    I'm sure all your answers will be forthcoming. Me, I stand back and try and look at the big picture. Instead of just accepting the best, politicians have lowered standards with policy that promotes mediocrity in the name of diversity and affirmative action laws. The armed forces are forced to accept a lower standard and accept civilian PC B.S.

    Being a Naval institution, I'm sure every move this idiot made was on camera so we should get a frickin' homemade movie of what happened. We won't though, we'll only get what fits the narrative.
