had no idea, that many versions of HDMI

I went to another forum that concentrates mainly on H/T and was surprised and more than a little dismayed at the amount of revisions and upgrades through out the years of versions of HDMI formats. I myself being not one w/ H/T to begin with either because my avr was on the light side and then the DVDs from standard to Blu/Ray to 3d( not compatible) was hard to keep up with.Sound wise obviously there is no comparison I found that just about yearly a new version comes out to keep up w/ either the newer machines or the software that's being used.I get the super movie freak who will go out and start to stream via inter web but this is so later on that people like me have just to let the technology run right through or over me. Most of the upgrades it seemed to deal w/ keeping the resolution at it's highest which even for me I can grasp that as a catagory and a main point to strive for.
