Depends on what Bose AM you want to get. How about...

I like the Blackstone suggestion if sound quality rules over size as the priority. If your girl is dead set on Bose, I have a 5 speaker Bose thing with the sub, double cubes, sitting in the crawl space for about 8 years now. I'd let ya have it for 200 plus shipping if you want it. They are white if that matters. The laminate on the bottom of the sub is starting to peel but nothing that looks horrible.HT SYSTEM-

That's a nice offer from Tony!
If she's not dead set on teeny tiny speaks, there are a LOT of better options for a LOT less money. The polk tls look great for the money, but I have honestly never heard them. But for the price of the BOSE you could get this setup:

Out of ones that I have heard, I like the klipsch promedia speakers. I also like the energy take 5 classics. And the def tech promonitor 60s or 600s would be nice. The problem with the BOSE is that the frequency response is just awful, and they sound tiny unless you are in a tiny room (like the space of the setup at BB). You are just wasting a ton of money.
The best bet if you want to take the time is an in-ceiling setup. My living room is almost all in-ceiling an for movies it sounds pretty darn good (for music not so much...)
Good luck!Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es
Game Room 5.1.4: Denon AVR-X4200w; Sony UBP-x700; Definitive Technology Power Monitor 900 mains, CLR-3000 center, StudioMonitor 350 surrounds, ProMonitor 800 atmos x4; Sub - Monoprice Monolith 15in THX Ultra
Bedroom 2.1 Harmon Kardon HK3490; Bluesounds Node N130; Polk RT25i; ACI Titan Subwoofer -
You might consider a system that uses something from the OWM series for surrounds, and possibly even fronts and center. These are not tiny speakers, but they are very thin. They come in black or white. The white ones easily blend in with common wall or ceiling colors. You can find the OWM-5's for around $100 each and OWM-5's for around $100/pair.

Thanks for all of the suggestions!
I have a pair of OWM-5's that I'm taking to her place this weekend, along with a CS10 center. If she likes them, then I'll get another pair of OWM-5 or 3's and call that good enough.HT
