well... i planned on running the two dx 12s off of a brutus amp, luckily i hadent ordered the brutus amp yet.. because on christmas morning i woke up to a great present, my parents had bought me 4 eclipse 12's!! woohooo. well they can run 1000watts each, 500watts rms.. i was thinking about getting a mono amp.. one that sends out about 1*1000watts@4ohms... i looked at this amp: http://www.acaraudio.com/product_info.php?cPath=22_36&products_id=1061 but ive never dealt with alphasonik.. so i really have no clue how good of products they have, if anyone can help or recomend an amp for this.. please tell me. oh if you want to know the subs... http://www.acaraudio.com/product_info.php?cPath=24_47&products_id=1116 that might help a lil .

if you have 4 - 500 watt - 4 ohm eclipse 12's.... i'd get a friggin monster amp and go beating the piss outa everything.
ie - US Amps 2000(X) -- does 2000 x 1 at your choice of 2 or 4 ohms depending on if u buy the A or X model. and its underrated - class AB tub thumping power with specs that better Zapco's stuff. ball park price is about 1,000 bucks, but at 50 cents a watt you can't go wrong.Testing

okay, i went by what cody was saying about 2 amps that put about 1000 at 2ohm. i found a few that put 8 or 900 and some that put out 1000... ill just put the links here and check em out and see what u think, personally i think i like the rockford fostgate one, and two would cost me 7-800 dollars. and i already planned on changing the battery in my car right now.. cuz it cant even push a 700 watt amp.. anyone know about how much it would be to hook up two batteries in a 1996 ford escort 2dr hatch...just the equiptment i need, my grandpa is a mechanic and so are many of my dad's friends, i could get the installations of it done free .if nobody knows what the equiptment would cost me i can check with some local companies, but if someone here knows, why get off my **** to find that out . well heres all the links:

and i know the eclipse titanium subs are good, but are the aluminum ones okay? if not.. i could always sell the 4 aluminum and use some of my own money and get 2 or 3 titanium. cuz if i had 4 of the titanium i would go deaf before i even turned 21 but it would be great to have... and at competitions here in town i could win a lil moola-Matt

dude- the mtx 1501D / 8100D will do 1500 x 1 at 2 ohms... thats 750 rms *yes rms* per sub if you wire them in parallel -- u can get that for 300 to 450 on ebay new in box... that's what i'd say go with. or the fosgate 1001bd.The Artist formerly known as PoweredByDodge

alright thx, i liked them both too.. but i like the looks of the fosgate a lil more so i may go with 3 of them :-p ... or two of one and one of another :-D-Matt
