just won a monster htps7000ss for the HT
HTPS7000SS
AND...
bought a Adcom GFA7500 (150x5 @ 8ohm 225x5 @4ohm amp)(no link) are you ready for this..paid $445 total tax and all but wait there is more...it is BRAND NEW ...full warranty
i am using my onkyo 777 as a pre amp for now but oh man what a world of diff. i will never go back to an av receiver....
the clarity and the details are amazing.
i have been wanting to go this route for some time but amps are so expensive.. had to jump fast for this deal i boughtr and asked ?'s later..
talked with an audio nut last night and he has an adcom 2 channel that he will get to me for $150 so that down the road i can do 7 channel

    That is a very nice AMP and at $1500. My Onkyo retails for the same but it does ALOT more than just "amping". Adding a competive pre-amp to the mix - not to mention I got's to have my 6/7 channel your back to getting what you pay for but in your case your a LUCKY GUY.
    Give use your impressions of the "little" Monster Box. ;)

    not real sure what pre amp i will be going with, i can get a good deal on the bob carver's sunfire with some thing like this and the 2 adcom amps we will be talking some serious 7.1 of course i will have to get a room big enuff for 7 channels of HT but hey things to look foward to...

    the htps7000 seems to keep things strong in the whole system. i added this and the amp at the same time so it is hard to tell what really has changed but, i was surprised that i am running about a 123 volts consistantly. i had figured for my location and the age of my house i would be lacking in that dept. the isolation and filtering is nice idont get any sort of flickering from my tv during big explosions or any thing that is loud and pulls a lot of amprage (so far i have peaked the system at 7.1 amps)

    I have the hts 5100 and CAN assure you that 15 amps is good ta go. I blew nothing up and seriously pissed the wife off:p plus HBombTwo is healthy and growing as far as the Doctor said today and all that happened during the sound checks.
