Anyone have a single 60's or 70's 6n1p-ev (Vokshod?) laying around they'd like to get rid of. All the ones on ebay are newer, sold in huge bundles or have to ship from Russia, plus i'd rather just buy one from a member. If you do let me know how much you'd like for it, thanks!

I've had very good experience with the Russian sellers on ebay. Would you be interested in me buying a pair and we split it?starkiller wrote: »Have a pair of 6N1P-Vi's if that might be of interest...
I think the Vi version is for pulse operation, but I might be wrong. -
I've bought a few from this guy quick shipping and a 100% great seller very fair not to mention he will help you get great tubes.

Starkiller thanks for the offer, after reading some it seems the -VI version was tweaked for pulse duty, though i'm sure it'd be better than what i've got.
I think i'm going to take you up on your offer Zingo, if you can find a decent deal on a pair just let me know how much it is + additional shipping for one to Austin and I can paypal ya. I'm in no rush, the iNova is still breaking in but I can't help but want to tweak it already. Thanks everyone! -
No problem...i also need to do more investigating on the tube myself!Computer room Hegeman 1 SpeakersM&K VX-80 subKenwood DP-7010Cambridge Audio CXC Transport Rega DACPrimaLuna Prologue Four AmpAric Audio Tube PreampGarage Jennings Research SquareCustom tube preampCrown XLS-1000Denon DCD-1500II Modded MSB Link DAC

The only reason I know this is because of my research on 6H30 tubes. -

What do you think of the 6H30 tube Jake? To me they seem kinda analytical and somewhat bright. What's your take?
Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion."
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Nope just a military designation. They were made in a handful of tube plants; Kaluga, Voskod, Novisburk. I think the Novisburk are the best, but that's splitting hairs. Stick with 60's and 70's production if you can. 80's is good too. I have (2) pairs from 1968. Nice tubes, I roll them in occasionally. They take the place of 6AQ8's.
To the OP, I've bought from Russian and Siberian sellers, they are solid. It has been awhile, but I wouldn't be concerned with a seller with a long history and great feedback.

Thanks for the advice. Jake snagged a pair of these for us to split: http://www.ebay.com/itm/261249607726?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
