For any other poor schmucks that have Polk Audio S10, rt 400 and any other speaker that use that elusive 7.5 inch driver..Enjoy your speakers while they work.
That 7.5 driver is a rare find.
I'll not buy any more speakers unless it uses standard size drivers..
That is all.

I learned my lesson. I absolutely adored my RT16's and RT7's. But I had three or four drivers go bad on me in a short amount of time. I luckily was able to replace all of them but after that, it felt like I was living on borrowed time. They unfortunately had to go.Display: Sony 42" LCD
Sources: Harman Kardon DVD-27,
Panasonic DMP-BDT110 blu ray player
AVR: Sony STR-DA2400ES
Amps: Sonance Sonamp 260(fronts),
Kenwood KM-894(surrounds)
Fronts: NHT 2.5
Center: NHT VS-1.2A
Surrounds: NHT Super One
Subwoofer: SVS PB10-ISD -
This tends to be the fate of most vintage speakers, but Polk just supports their Monitor/RTA/SDA line better than most. Even the famous SRT system is almost impossible to get drivers for.

At least they use round drivers.
I've seen other speakers with odd shape that's impossible to even fabricate.
Klipsch RB81, KG3.5, B&W DM602.5, Polk.
Subwoofers: Klipsch RW10, Triad ProSub Bronze. -

Just because a speaker uses a round 6" woofer, doesn't mean you can drop in any 6" woofer. You have to have a driver that matches all of the original specs; it's not just size that counts... -

AND that is the first listing I have seen for the MW8000.
