Pioneer's MCACC auto calibration system and Polk's Recommended subwoofer connection?
I have just purchased the VSX-D912K, primarily for the MCACC auto feature. My question pertains to my speaker set-up and how it will affect the auto calibration.
I have polk satelitte speakers, the RM6700 series, and their PSW303 subwoofer. I used their recommended speaker cable hook-up for the sub-woofer, of running the front left and right channels through the sub.
My question is: How will this affect the automatic calibration process? Will the test tones' frequencies for the front right and left speakers (which will also be running through the sub woofer in my set-up) be low enough to register in the subwoofer and therefore giving two signals to the microphone during the calibration process?
Should I unhook the sub during the calibration process? If I did that, and then hooked it back up after the calibration, will the calibration be thrown out of whack because it had already adjusted the channels for extra bass to compensate for the lack of a subwoofer?
Thanks.

I had the RM6500 system hooked up at one time to my Pioneer VSX-53TX receiver, which has the MCACC function.
Leave your sub connected the "Polk Way", set the Front R/L speakers to large, set ALL OTHER speakers to small, then initiate the MCACC calibration. That's it. It'll be fine. Gooze Fraba.Mains: Polkaudio RTi70's

It's good to see another 53TX owner. They are pretty sweet. And I agree with jd.:)Panasonic VIERA 46" 1080p plasma

Just in case someone does a search and finds this thread, I wanted to write in and say that the calibration worked flawlessly even with the subwoofer hooked up the 'Polk way', just as JD said it would. Go ahead and do it and enjoy the sound.
Thanks again, JD.
