The Sweetest Sound To My Ears

My wife and I were watching a movie and I decided to retire early. I turned off my two channel system and switched to TV speakers before I went to bed. As I was leaving the room she said "What happened to the sound, it doesn't sound right". It was the first time she acknowledged how good my system sounds. I left the room with a big smile

My girlfriend doesn't have a clue what any of it does, but she definitely appreciates the results of my humble Rti setup in the living room. I put the Lsi bedroom setup together with her in mind, so now we have 2 great places to enjoy tunes or a good movie.

So agreed, affirmation of your audio efforts is certainly nice.

My wife was visiting her sister and did the same thing. She kept asking them to turn it up because the dialog was not clear...but her sister only has a very cheap all-in-one box system that sounds like crap.

What is interesting is several of her family members love music and have systems that are just not up to the task. I think they all would enjoy a better A/V system more so than they know it. If I had the means, I would set them all up...but, I am stuggling to get my setup to where I want it.

My wife doesn't like the stereo for movies/TV because it's a "hassle" over the TV speakers, but keeps asking me to turn it up as she can't hear it...

Tony, you know Ethel that works down at the foundry too?

That's a great thing, being on the same page as your wife. Hate to quote the A team, but "nice when a plan comes together", eh CC?
