Using Tri Lam tweeters in original RT35's

I swapped out the soft black dome tweeters in my RT35's with the Tri Lams from my 1000's. They sounded great before but now sound phenomenal. I probably should have asked before the fact, but any potential harm in doing this? Not sure if the crossover was meant to accommodate only the black tweeters or not. I figure since they're part of the same line as those with the Tri Lams and they use the same woofer, that it's probably okay.
