That's one way to generate business.Political Correctness'.........defined
"A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a t-u-r-d by the clean end."

A ten day warranty?

I don't have unlimited funds to risk 30 or 90 day warranties. There are a lot of people that will abuse stuff because they know its under warranty.
Amplifiers either work well for 10 - 15 years or they die when you plug them in the first time, they rarely "soft fail" over a few months like you would expect with CD players or other components with mechanical parts. Hence 10 days is quite enough coverage against workmanship/ design and reliability.
You may disagree and you have a right to do so.If you are not judgemental, you don't care enough. -
I'm wondering why Adcom hasn't thought of this idea and what kind of stress will this put on the output transitors.

I'm thinking next thing we're gonna hear is that for X amount of dollars you can purchase an extended warranty.

Adcom has to make $$ based on automated processes and not pay labor associated with modifying these amps. This is a very labor intensive job and I am beginning to enjoy it less and less with every one I do..... its not worth spending an entire day and making a few measly bucks. I may re-think taking more orders in.
The stresses on the transistors depends on how you use (or Abuse) the amp.
I offer upgrades for the output transistors too and guys who want to play it safe do go with those upgrades. The stock dissipation capability of each channel is 1200 watts, after the upgrade, it goes up to 2000 watts. This is enough for nearly all applications except for those who try arc welding with their amps... hence I do not want to get into long term warranties... its not worth my time.
I only care about consciencious users who take care of their amps, not the "push it to the limit" types. If you are not judgemental, you don't care enough.
