I use to think Death and Taxes were the only certain things in life. I'm gonna have to add one more to that saying.

Hippies.....they never die. In the event of nuclear holocaust, I'm pretty sure a hippie will still be found.

If there is one thing that hippies "proved", it's that Americans are just too "damned" uptight! And still are almost five decades later. lol

The world is their oyster and there's a modicum of Primitivism that recalls the human past, if nothing more. Let the dudes and dudettes have some fun!

If I smell it is usually from honest work (however little of it I actually do these days), and I try not to offend and/or inflict it on others.

Hippies usually stink because they have poor/lazy hygiene and enjoy stewing in their own funk and inflicting it on others.

    There is a difference.

Oh, I don't give a rats behind about them. As long as they aren't hurting anyone, who cares. It is a sight to behold 70,000 of them in one spot in the desert though. Looks like some sort of b movie about aliens visiting ancient civilizations.

I thought the only thing hippies proved, was that they were really no different than the generations before them. If anything, they were even more materialistic and greedy.

It would definitely be a people watching environment, one to compare Woodstock and a documentary to those journalist to make some coin.

The Who---teenage wasteland comes to mind

,but you never know what possible genius turns out, and the genius minds wasted, to each their own.

Like Tony said, in the desert no one hurting anyone...party on
