Monitor stands

I recently acquired a set of the speaker stands Polk sold optionally with the Monitor series when I bought my Monitor 5's. Checking recently sold stands on an auction site shows that they are selling for $100-120 plus shipping. Are these actually rare? Why the value? They seem kind of flimsy to be honest and I wouldn't have thought they were worth even half that.

I better sell mine quick. I'll profit $20-30 on a pair of speakers that I get to keep. :eek:afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

are the monitor 10 stands bigger that the monitor 5 stands. I have 10 stands. I would have thought the monitor 5 stands were taller with a smaller padI recently acquired a set of the speaker stands Polk sold optionally with the Monitor series when I bought my Monitor 5's. The ones I have are not the short stubby stands, they're a little taller. Going by memory around a foot? I only set them on the stands once but I don't remember the pad or whatever it's called being bigger than the bottom of the speaker.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

These aren't originals by any means but they might do the job:

I'm sure there must be a place in the US that sells them too. -
Let me take a look.boston1450 wrote: »Question. Do those tilt back some ? 6 degrees or whatever. Like the 10's do
