Was going to ask doctorcilantro if he had some tubes in stock but see he hasn't been on the forum since the 2nd week of July. Anyone else here dabble in tubes?

I have some 12AX7's/variants Alan. Any specific brands? I still readily use them in my DAC, but have some extras if you are looking to buy....... I have a pair of GE TM BP 5751's that are virtually NOS (I put literally 4 hours on them......) Shoot me a PM if interested.

My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Rather than start a new thread I hope the OP doesn't mind me piggy backing and I don't want to step on his tubes, so consider my request after you get him taken care of.

I am looking for a single Baldwin organ labeled 12AX7 long blackplate halo getter (made by Raytheon) Yellow label probably mid 60's. Doesn't have to be Baldwin but it does have to be Raytheon from that era. I have an orphan that needs a mate. Should test strong but doesn't have to be NOS.

Also an early 60's Sylvania GB 5751 (doesn't have to have gold pins) 3 mica, gray plate, square getter. Should test strong and closer to NOS end of the scale.

Anyone got a single or either?

    Thanks

    H9

Brock, I've got both, but I'm hanging on to the Sylvanias. :-) Honestly I think the grey plates sound as good as the blackplates. The Raytheon on the other hand has your name on it. PM me your address and I'll send you one this week.

Starkiller, I have another pair of the Raytheons (I have 6 total of them). I also have a pair of the square getter Blackplate Sylvanias, but since I only have a pair, I'm going to hang on to them. Honestly I think the Raytheons are better. If you want the Raytheons, PM me your addy and they are yours.

Thanks Dawg! That's an awesome gesture!

Yeah, I have a pair of 60's Sylvania GB 5751's black plates w/sq getter and (3) of the same 5751's with gray plates. Someday I'll find a similar mate.
