This weekend shopping for RTi 8 @ CC, but no Cherry, then went to Fry's. The Saleman took me to the stock for checking. Happened to see a pair brand new RTi 70 for 149/each, then bought it immediately. Although it's black, not my favor color, but really a good deal. My HK525 is on the way.

I am also thinking re-paint it a new color some day by myself. Anyone had the same painting experience.

i think painting over the laminate would be a bad idea.
if it is real wood laminat (as opposed to vinyl, i'm not sure), i think you can sand and restain, but black makes that harder. might just want to leave it alone, if they are new in the box, i assume they are in perfect shape. my .02 cents is, you want it to stay that way

WOW, that was a steal. Nice Job there. That's only a little more that what I paid for mine, except I had mine about a year and a half ago, right before they hit the sales floors. But yeah, I would count that as the best $300 money can buy.

Great deal on those!I would personally leave those suckers alone, not unless your plannig on keeping them forever, because if you paint them there re-sale value will go down a bunch if you ever want to get rid of them.Just my 2 1/2 cent.:D

I agree, don't paint them. For the great deal that you got I would think of them as being black cherry.

Wow that is cheap....my brother lives out in Cali and saw them a month ago for $199 each....I just got them from CC out here in NY for $199 each, but open box...the new were $299. I wish we had a Fry's here....
