Hi kids. I drove 2-1\2 hours one way yesterday to pick up a pair of SRS 2.3s :biggrin:. I also have some SDA 2As and a pair of Monitor 10 Series ll. I'm hoping to learn some new tricks and tips here and become a part of the community.

Polkoarder = Polk Hoarder.
Congrats and welcome.
Now, before everyone jumps on tweeter upgrades, give them SL2000's a listen at least for a while.

Welcome to CP and congrats on the big boys! There are many mods you can do. Some involve a modest cash outlay, others a bit more."Science is suppose to explain observations not dismiss them as impossible" - Norm on AA; 2.3TL's w/sonicaps/mills/jantzen inductors, Gimpod's boards, Lg Solen SDA inductors, RD-0198's, MW's dynamatted, Armaflex speaker gaskets, H-nuts, brass spikes, Cardas CCGR BP's, upgraded IC Cable, Black Hole Damping Sheet strips, interior of cabinets sealed with Loctite Power Grab, AI-1 interface with 1000VA A-L transformer

Hey tygr1955 welcome to cp. I have the exact same speakers you have. I have done all the mods and am waiting for my x-overs to be finished from trey (VR3). I agree that you need to listen to them a while and get your read on. Everything you need to know is in this forum about your speakers. The knowledge here is second to none. You will soon see. I will say that the mods I was able to do myself using the knowledge here made my speakers sound better than I could ever have imagined. Enjoy!

Cnh, it's a G-9000.

Nice vintage piece! Almost 60 lbs of Sansui "goodness" and 160 W x 2 there!
But then again, those Polk SDAs can soak up even more "power".

Welcome! I just picked up my 7th set of Polks last week - a cute little pair of Monitor 4s... I don't have all 7 still, as some have moved through, while others have stuck. Haven't taken the leap to SDA yet....
Enjoy! -
Welcome to to forum and congratulations on the speakers. I have not heard that model but am sure they sound awesome. Listen to them for a while as is and then look at starting some mods/ upgrades. some can make a big difference for little output while others take a little more cash.If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of Progress?!
