So what is it folks?

The one that really brings your speakers alive... makes your speakers sound at their best... clearly can hear every instrument... makes your friends envy about your setup and demo worthy.

Just one "the special album"

Don't really think I have "demo worthy" equipment, but if someone comes over and says "play something that sounds good" lately I keep going back to Steely Dan's SACD "Gaucho". Though the background is not as "black" as some others I have, there's just something about it, that certain je ne sais quoi as it were.

I choose one of their favorite albums that also has great sound. Nothing like ruining their favorites by forcing them to hear it on your system. Many friends curse me now for that very reason.

    Thats a good one ....

It's hard to pick just one, but I seem to go back to Alan Parsons Project "Pyramid" a lot.
My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.

Would still be "Youngblood Brass Band" and their album "Center:Level:Roar". ( The song "Brooklyn" will blow you away).
    Sounds great on some B&Ws.
