Home theater - really
New poster looking for some help. We have a 23' X 23' X 11' garage converted into a multipurpose room complete with wood stage. The project now is adding lights, video, and sound. For the speakers, I'm looking for something that can do both surround sound and possible karaoke. The Blackstone TL1600 look like they fit the bill but I'm concerned they can't fill the space. Any thoughts? Does anyone have other recommendations for a good surround sound speaker system?
Othe considerations; all speakers need to be wall mount capable, I prefer wired with hardy connections, I have an affinity with Polk based on great experience in school with my car stereos.

Karaoke is really hard on speakers...... I'd consider full range not satellites.Main Surround -
Epson 8350 Projector/ Elite Screens 120" / Pioneer Elite SC-35 / Sunfire Signature / Focal Chorus 716s / Focal Chorus CC / Polk MC80 / Polk PSW150 sub
Bedroom - Sharp Aquos 70" 650 / Pioneer SC-1222k / Polk RT-55 / Polk CS-250
Den - Rotel RSP-1068 / Threshold CAS-2 / Boston VR-M60 / BDP-05FD -
I think you will find that large an area is to big for the Blackstones, or any other satellite speaker. If your trying to get decent sound through out that large of an area, towers for the front stage would be highly advisable. You should also plan on adding a fairly large sub, 12 inch or 2. That is a lot of air to pressurize.
I would look at the TSI line, maybe 400's for front, 200's for surrounds, and HSU VK2-Mk4 for a sub. -
Great points. I'd love front towers but am concerned about feedback when we bust out the mic. Maybe we'll go that route and just install the speakers directly under the stage. Thanks again.
