Great sound from LsiM all around upgrade! Thanks, Polk!

Folks, I have just finished upgrading my RTI speakers to LsiM speakers. It's great so far. Here are some details to share.
Receiver: Denon X4000
Amp: Parasound 5250
Old Speakers:
Rti8 and Csi6 (front), Rti6 (side, 2), and Rti Fxi3 (rear, 2), Mirage S10 Sub
New speakers (black):
LsiM705 and LsiM706c (front), LsiM702F/X (side, 2), and LsiM702F/X (rear, 2), Mirage S10 Sub
The Parasound amp drives the front and side speakers, denon drives the rear speakers.
Wow, an immediate improvement over the old setup. They are sweet and sound warmer than the Rti series. The surround and rear speakers are great. I like 702F/X than the direct firing speakers in my previous setup. The sound coming out the new system is much more natural and I feel surrounded with music. I always felt sound from my direct firing side Rti6 in my previous set up often distracting for music listening in particular. Now, the sound is dominated by the front with an enveloping effect across the room from the side/rear speakers. That's what I prefer. The side and rear speakers are wall-mounted. They are heavy, and look great!
The 705's and 706 are heavy and built to last. The center 706 is much bigger and heavier than 704 (still in the box here); 706 sounds spectacular in music and movies. It looks a better match in size with 705 IMHO.
Polk did a great job having the speakers packaged in immaculate condition and shipped right on time. Polk customer service is the best! Every item inside is delicately placed and wrapped, a reminder of the flagship status of the LsiM speakers.
It's an upgrade well worth it! Besides, thanks for the great price. I still have an LisM 704c and a set of LsiM 703. Will play with them at some point. So far, so good!

I wonder if somebody has a good, direct comparison of the center LsiM 704c and 706c mixed with LisM705. I have both centers and started with 706C based on others experience with it but not a direct comparsion of the two centers. Last night I put the 704c at the center, listened to some music, and switched back and forth a few times between 704c and 706, and ALMOST felt the 704C actually fits my 7.1 all-around LsiM better, but it is just a small hint of sort and I am abslolutely not sure about it. The hint seems to be in the bass and boominess. 704C sounds a bit cleaner in the mix, but I wouldn't bet on it because I have the center almost entirely in the fireplace (see picture above). 706c is huge and size-wise looks better with the towers. 704c looks pathetic in comparison size-weight-wise, but this is just cosmetic.
Your experience and thoughts, please. -
I have the 704 paired with two 703, It's not a bad center most people like the 5in driver in the 705 over the 707 I expect you are experiencing the same with the 704 0ver the 706.
The down side to the 704 is that it drops off around 70hz so you are setting a crossover around 80 and maybe missing out on a lot of what the 705 can offer. -
Thanks, Kurt300. You have a monster setup. I cannot imagine how I'm able to walk around with a 11.2 although my space is a good size. Parasound 5250 is a great, good match with Polk speakers to my ears. It runs barely warm (my Denon X4000 is hot). Enjoy your sound!

I read some of the concerns with 707 for my available space and opt for 705. My guess is that, just like yours, that the 70Hz dropoff for 704 actually give me the unconfirmed impression that it is cleaner sounding compared with 706. I set a 80HZ crossover for all speakers. I'm hoping somebody may have more detailed comparsion of the two centers mixed with 705 in particular.

Well, after swapping 704 and 706 back and forth, I left 706 there. I adjusted its tweeter aiming a little bit, maybe have pulled it out of the fireplace a little, .... it sounds a little bit better than before now. But, again, I am still unsure about whether it is a real difference or just my ears or my imagination. I wouldn't have worried about this if the space for 706is very big, but you know, putting a big speaker in small space may be creating more problems than it solves.
It doesn't look like many people have compared the two centers in such situation. Hope to hear some. -
you probably want to get them both broken in before comparing as well. It took around 50 hours of play before mine started to open up.
