My dad had this and passed away from it after a 10 year battle a few years ago. It was very sad to see him having to have all the help he did need, especially toward the end when you even need help cleaning up after using the bathroom. The straw i think that broke his will though was having to be fed as with his tremors he could no longer even feed himself, he died two weeks after they started having to do that for him:cry:

That is such a shame, I wish her all the best and thank her for the many great years of music she did provide us with.

It is sad but it also reflects the aging of her ("our") generation. There are recent developments using DBS (deep brain stimulation) that are fairly impressive; Parkinson's Disease is one of those degenerative diseases which will probably be mitigated by medical intervention in the not-too-distant future.

In the meantime, a little homage to Ms Ronstadt as we probably remember her best. Be sure to take note of the headphones (they look like Koss K-6 consumer headphones of the early/mid 1970s) and the fine microphone :-)

I heard about this a couple days ago....saddened by the fact...her autobiography will be out shortly...should be a very good read. That Don't Cry Now is an excellent LP...she has many of them!

Such horrible news. For me, "Cry like a windstorm Howl like the wind" is still a personal favorite.

Her work with Nelson Riddle is top notch as well. Her LP's are never far from the platter.
