How bad is Polk Audio DSWPRO 660wi?
In one of the recent deals i ordered a Polk Audio DSWPRO 660wi to work with LSIM 707, 703, 706.
Despite the negative reviews i placed the order since
The price was very tempting
There is no LSIM line subwoofer
and i read its better if all the speakers match their impedance and are from same manufacturer.
but now the woofer in on back order so i wanted to get your opinions whether to keep the order or is there any better option?

It's a pretty decent sub and for the price I bet you payed for it, you probably can't go wrong. There are better subs for ht (Hsu and SVS) and for music (REL and Polk Micropro), but the dsw pros are good all around subs.

A sub woofer is a different animal when it comes to speakers. They are usually judged on their own merits, and there is no need to try to match manufacturers. The job of the sub is to play low frequencies , to play them cleanly, and blend in with your other speakers. The DSW line is a fairly decent speaker, but Polk isn't best known for their subs.

There is nothing "bad" about that sub. It's just that if you're buying some LSiMs and you want to pair a sub with "them" you might at least consider Polk's higher line MicroPro series!

Is there a sub for 500-700$ range which can match up with the LSIMs? -

The guys are right. In the end, it doesn't really matter who manufactures your sub or what speakers you match it with as long as it is "good" and certainly some of the suggestions above would be fine. Although you could do falconcry 72 one better and buy FOUR subs, or even EIGHT. lol
I'm only kidding, of course. Lots of people run two subs.

Checked REL looks impressive.. like their caption "Do one thing do it perfectly" -

For HT, the DSWPro 660wi does the job quite nicely. For music, the MicroPro 3000 is the better choice.
With your LSiM 707s, you may quite likely find that you prefer listening to music with the sub off. In which case, as F1 said, the 660wi does the job quite nicely for HT. At the price you paid, if you got it in the recent half-off sale, you can't beat the deal. I'd keep the order in place and see what you think. Use it for a while, you should have no trouble getting your money out of it if you decide to move it.
I myself am quite impressed with the DSW PRO wi subs. I got two myself and they're both 550s. One I use with an SDA-2BTL anchored system and the other, with Monitor 10Bs. I got rid of my MicroPRO2000 and MicroPRO3000 subs preferring the 550s over both of them for both music and HT. -

I'm running a REL R205 with my 703s and couldn't be happier. It's a strictly two channel system, so I was looking for tight, well defined, clean bass. The REL fits this to a T. You asked in one of your post above if there is $500-600 sub that can match the LSiMs, well for music both a used REL or refurb MicroPro can be had in this range and are perfect matches for LSiMs. -
