I really wish I had a pair of cherries, but everything is mahogany.

Yeah I thought it was a bit strange that the 704 didn't come in cherry, but it doesn't bother me. Looks fine in my opinion.

Yea I got that. I'm asking how you're getting a signal to the Onkyo; in other words, what is your source? CD player, BluRay, computer, wireless, ipod or what?

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, sorry about that. Guess I just didn't think of that question because I'm not usually asked that on these forums lol. Usually just about amps, hookups, things like that.

Anyway I've listened to some vinyl, as well as some FLACS from my PC. I have to say though I've been looking at the Oppo 105 the past week or two, and it's awful tempting.

    I find the 703's intriguing.

I wonder how they stack up against the Klipsch RB81s.

Not trying to be nosey, I just wanted to make sure you're geting the full potential out of your new speakers, and it sounds like you have a very good handle on it! Congrats again, and enjoy!!!

You know I've tried that, but the problem I have is that whenever I switch it to WASAPI, it plays music out of all my speakers instead of just the front 2 L/R and Sub. I've messed around with it a little bit and I can't seem to correct that.

Your post got me curious. What do you recommend as a source for mp3 songs? I know bitrate makes a big difference but what do you recommend for getting the most on a nice set of speakers like the 703s?

First recommendation is to never use mp3's. Lossless is the only way. FLAC.
