Onkyo TX-NR1007 - newly

My Onkyo 1007 ran great for 3 years and then had the HDMI board die. Onkyo service just replaced it with a new HDMI board and is QC'ing for shipping back to me in the next day or so... but I have already replaced it with a shiny new 3010, so the 1007 is on the market.

Tossing this out there for $400 + shipping. Well taken care of, non-smoking home, and though I was running 9.1 off of it, I never listen above -15dB from reference, so it hasn't particularly been stressed (plus I was running the front three channels off an external amp and crossing the speakers over to the sub pretty reasonably).

I have the remote, manuals, the antennas, Audyssey mic, etc. and presuming they send it back in it, I have the original box and will ship double-boxed. I can provide pics when it arrives from repair, but it seriously could not look closer to the day I bought it.

Details on the 1007 can be found here: http://us.onkyo.com/Products/model.php?m=TX-NR1007&class=Receiver&source=prodClass

How would this compare to my pioneer elite vsx-21txh? I am running it as a pre with my B&K AV5000. Just curious as I am always wanting to try new gear.

I can't really say, as I've never had a Pioneer myself. I would say that MultEQ XT is better than MCACC, which doesn't tend to EQ below 125Hz (which I've always thought was silly, considering bass is where you tend to need the most equalization). Other than that, I have no basis for comparison outside of the listed specs.

I'm next in line if Krabby doesn't step up. I'd like some pictures of the actual amp and a shipping quote to 65101 in MO.

    Thanks...

Your inbox is full so I could not PM you. I am a yes for your receiver if you don't hear anything from Mr. Krabs.

Got the shipping notice that it had been sent back, but no tracking number. As soon as it comes back, I'll crack open the box and take pics.

Got the 1007 back from repair today. I took some pics of it with it still in the plastic, since they did such a good job packing it that I don't want to undo it and have to redo it to ship. Will pack it back up with the manuals, Audyssey mic, etc. for whoever buys it.
