I simply can't wait! I have wanted to replace my LSi15s with the LSiM705 since they came out. I finally have that chance. I'm looking forward to posting great feedback on these speakers ALL over the net. I don't think I've heard of anybody who didn't think the LSiM series is at least several steps above the LSi series in detail and resolution.

Thanks POLK!

Know what you mean, got the call from the trucking company yesterday... couldn't talk them into this AM but should be here in the afternoon.
The 707's will be replacing a pair of old 70's... the difference should be striking...

Congratulations, guys.
Curious what your order # was. Mine was 205. Trying to get an idea when they might ship mine.“Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'”

I predict you will be happy with the upgrade. They definitely sound better than the 15's, but they also just LOOK so damn sexy. No comparison in looks IMO. Congrats!2-Channel: PC > Schiit Eitr > Audio Research DAC-8 > Audio Research LS-26 > Pass Labs X-250.5 > Magnepan 3.7's

did Polk email you the tracking #? or the delivery company just contacted you to schedule the time?
I've not heard anything from Polk and mine order is in the low 200s. -

I suggest calling Polk at the number above if you have questions about your order... Their CS is great.2-Channel: PC > Schiit Eitr > Audio Research DAC-8 > Audio Research LS-26 > Pass Labs X-250.5 > Magnepan 3.7's

Can't remember what my order number was but they did not email anything to me either. I called customer service this AM and when they checked the computer they had already been shipped.falconcry72 wrote: »I predict you will be happy with the upgrade. Well, regarding looks, I'll have to wait and see.
I'd never seen an LSi in person before I bought mine straight from Polk. In every picture I saw of them, I thought they were butt ugly. I bought simply because of the reviews of sound quality. In person however, I thought and still think they are VERY handsome. They have a contemporary look that goes exceptionally well with my home.
I have ebony LSi's and ordered mahogany LSiM's.
I've never seen the LSiMs in person either. In pictures I think they look OK. Nothing exceptional either way so I'll wait and see..."The ear is not a microphone, the brain is not a tape recorder, and measurements are limited in describing subjective quality." Nelson Pass

Never seen them in person? You're in for a treat! The fit and finish of the LSiM's is in a different league altogether than the original LSi's. The binding posts, jumpers, hardware, rubber surrounds, magnets... every physical detail exudes class. Much higher build quality.
The Mahogany color is really cool in person, too. In a dark room it can look almost black, but in the light, especially sunlight, you get a deep rich brown with tones of red/almost purple and nice wood grain.
Don't get me wrong, I love the original LSi's. I owned the 7's, 9's, 15's, a couple C's, and a couple pairs of FX's at one point. I still have (2) pairs of 9's.
The LSiM's are just... better in every way.2-Channel: PC > Schiit Eitr > Audio Research DAC-8 > Audio Research LS-26 > Pass Labs X-250.5 > Magnepan 3.7's

Well that's just what i'm hoping for, especially concerning sound quality. Good looks would simply be icing on the cake
On a sadder note...
The trucking company website informed me all day yesterday that the 705s would deliver today, so I took the day off from work. Now the website says they are still in Fontana CA (I'm in Colorado Springs). Three days and they've managed to move them 87 miles! Impressive!
I called the trucking company customer service and was told they were "mis-routed". So here I am with the day off and nothing to do, Further, I won't be able take off work to be home whenever they do arrive.
