I bit the bullet,and ordered a VK600SE! I just love the BAT sound,and had to upgrade to this! If this thing has no bugs,and sounds as advertised,this WILL be my last Amp for quite some time:mrgreen: Anyways,the VK500 is back in the shop,and hopefully Vlad can get it right,so I can sell to recoup some of my monies:eek: The Cary sounds wonderful,but a little to romantic,and laid back for me! Soundstage and Depth,is Fantastic.
I should be getting the new beast Friday,or Monday,and I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve. This,Boys&Girls,will be the bottom of the amp Rabbit hole,as I just cant see spending anymore than this on an amp:wink:

    Wow Bob! You are going through amps fast! I am interested in hearing your thoughts about the VK600SE verses the VK500 verses the Cary verses the class D amp.:eek: Congratulations Bon on the very nice amp! I am definately a BAT fan myself!

    Well, unless you find another 600se and convert to monos :) then you would be close to the bottom.

    But then you gotta upgrade the pre to the REX, they only go for 10K still on the used market lol, and get hotter than hot. The last time I listened to one the room probably got 10 degrees warmer just from the warm up of the two 600SE monos and the Rex pre.

    Enjoying hearing about your amp search Bob, Friday can't come soon enough,lol. I truly hope the BAT 600SE will be everything you're looking for in an amp.:cheesygrin: Can't wait to hear your review and good luck on the sale of the VK500 amp, I'm sure it will sell fast.

    How old are you, Bob? How's your health? I ask because that 600SE could be a "lifer", depending on how long you last.. :biggrin:

    LOL! I'm 35,and that is the plan! Honestly,like I said before,if there's no bugs in this thing,and it sounds as good or hopefully better than my VK500,this WILL ABSOLUTELY end my amp search for a VERY long time! Maybee I should tell Vlad to keep my VK500 there and turn it into a mono,so u can send yers in,and turn it into a mono,and be a leg up on me;-)

    35, huh? Well then let's hope you outlast the amp! :smile:

    Dual VK500 monos would be sweet, but I don't want any part of the juju associated with that amp!

    Heck they have a VK-655SE for sale for 12K right now for their demo lol.

    But seriously if you ever want to get your ears on a lot of BAT stuff he's got it. Maggies and Wilson are the main line ups in his room. 3.7's last time I was down there run off the BAT system and Wilson Sasha WP.
