I'm in this shop looking at these AR-9's today, and a guy comes up and asks me "Do you think I can get $40 for them?"

So I told him, "Yeah, I do."

    How do the foam surrounds look on em? Your a lucky man next to SDA's those are my dream speakers. I was stationed in Germany every one had JBL's 901's and Acoustic Research I was renting a small apartment off post and the AR9's were to big so I bought AR58's and AR18's a lot of fellow GI's owned the Ar9's and the 901 and the JBL fanboys were put to shame. Did you say you were reselling them!!! Nice purchase real nice.

    "Today? Yeah, that's gonna be about it."

    The surrounds are shot, as they should be. I'll get them done along with the surrounds on the other pair I have sitting here. I promised my buddy Ray in Brooklyn I'd find him a pair of AR-9. I thought I meant the plain vanilla ones like mine, but it seems these -9LSI jobs are much easier to stumble on. Now if he wants surround sound, he's got that too. No wife, no WAF factor. Four AR-9's in one room is a distinct possibility at his place.

    The combination upper-mid/tweeter module is unique to these and I think the 98LSI, and is now unobtanium, so it's a real handle with care deal.
