As some of you know I had a little problem w/ my I-Pod playing the same 35 songs or so and couldn't ditch that in anyway.I went to the Apple Store and they did a master dump of my tunes and they showed me how to reload my entire library holding so far at 499 songs. That's done and not repeating, but on a few songs of burned CDs that I get the originals from my library they seem to skip like a bad LP.Now I went back to the disc itself played them and not a skip on it through a cdp.So were's the problem and 1 solution I know is to get the original CDs and import it again.

It sounds like you are having issues importing your CDs into iTunes. Sometimes a CD-R will play fine in a CD player but in a CD/DVD drive on your PC, it may not read correctly. The best thing to do if you encounter the issue you are having with your ripped files skipping is to change the import settings for a CD in iTunes. Navigate to Edit > Preferences in iTunes. On the General tab, select the Import Settings button for a CD. On this window you can change the compression type and the bitrate you want to use. The important note however in your case is to check the box for Use error correction for Audio CDs. This will ensure that the files you read are accurate and the CD/DVD reader is not missing any information from the CD. It will make things slower on ripping your discs, but you should get better results.
