Hi. I have a pair of Sony SS-F6000 towers hooked up to a Yamaha surround sound receiver. Dialog in movies is a little spotty, so I want to get a center channel. But the one that would most match my fronts is no longer made. Would an inexpensive polk center channel like a CS10 or one of the R or M series work? Not a hard core audoiophile, but would the difference in "timbre" be too much? Thanks. By the way , I also have an old pair of R10s attached to an old stereo reciever, so I'm already a polk user!

Try the R10 as center to see how Polk sounds with Sony in general.
If it sounds good then go for a Polk center.
