Well lately ive read alot on here about the SRS's :) ive researched alot online. Ive watched alot of video's. looked at Lasareaths site & video's yesterday. I just got done looking at POLK AUDIO SITE which if you havent read the reviews there. YOU NEED TO. Researched DIY projects & to you that do own them, hats off to you....at 180 lbs each & the size i think to myself'' why would someone want something so big'' but the more i research,im in AWE. I enjoy all the recent stories on CP lately. its my dream speaker. From the first time i laid eyes on a Polk Audio SDA i fell in love with them....i would ask kindly if you have SDA-SRS's & wouldnt mind posting pictures of them & what you power them with ? That would be cool. Thank you

It would be nice if they made a STICKY & let every person who owns these beautiful speakers post pictures & info on them. As far as i know these are the biggest Polk made in that era/ever. A true beauty.i know i would be honored to own some :)

Yes they are true beauties both sound wise and in the looks dept as well. If do happen to land a pair of them don't be like me and not listen to the great advice on this forum about proper set up. Once I heard a properly set up pair of the 1.2tl's (Lazarus's) I was totally hooked and promptly came home ripped my entire rig apart and did things right. Proper set up is a must, and it's one of the best mods out there for the big guys plus it's totally free.

You do realize that you need some ROOM to get the desired sound out of such "monoliths", right? As for me, I know I don't have that room, so I've never pined for the big guys.

F1nut is right. Why don't take a look at DarqueKnight's showcase. He runs some, I believe, as well as being the general author/editor of the SDA compendium!

When I first discovered this site back in the late 90s (as I recall), it was because I was seeking a pair of these magnificent speakers that had made such an impression on me many years earlier. Learning much from the fine folk here, I was searching for the epitome (imo), 1.2TL, but eventually "settled" for a pair of 1.2s (and soon added a pair of 2.3s as rear speakers). I used a pair of bi-amped/bi-wired Carver 1.0t bridged mono (1000w each) for the fronts, and a Carver 4.0t (375 w) for the rears. Though I ran 2-channel through front/rear by splitting the signal (heretic I know ), and never had them close to being set up properly, they ROCKED my world for over a decade before I broke it all down last year for a remodel. Now I gotta decide how to put it all back together....downsized a bit this time around however. It was all about compromise for me...but once I reached "it", I didn't touch that system (nor power down those Carvers...literally) for nearly a decade...back to what it was all about imo...the music. Thanks for letting me share...
