Like a lot of people here, I am very tempted by Polk's 50% off sale and, although I would really love to get a pair of LSiM 705s, my budget says otherwise. However, I may be able to afford a Polk SurroundBar.

Does anyone have any experience with the SurroundBar? If so, what model is recommended?
I do not think I could afford the SurroundBar 9000, which looks to be the totl model.
Would one of the lesser models (even the 3000) be a good choice?
Is the SurroundBar simply plugged into the TV?

I would like a simple quality upgrade to the sound of my TV for now until I can afford a HT system in the future and the SurroundBar looks like it may be the right option.

I'd appreciate any comments about the SurroundBar and, since the Polk sale ends tomorrow, hopefully I'll get some feedback tonight so I can make an informed decision whether to get a SurroundBar tomorrow and take advantage of this great sale.

Thank you!

I was able to demo the surroundbar 6000 and would recommend it. But from what I have read from others who have heard the 9000 its worth the extra money.
Yes the SB 6000 plugs into your TV and greatly upgrades the sound.
I would be taking advantage of the sale and getting one if it wasn't for the fact that I hate sleeping on the couch.
