My favorite album anyways. This short documentary on this classic rock album is very informative. Must see for Steely Dan fans. Peace

    "Aja", yes?

Would be cool to check out. Steely Dan's studio efforts are legendary & the backstory would be cool to hear.

The Classic Album series is excellent. Love how they sit down with the original producer at the sound board and disect each song. Haven't seen anything new for several years, would like to see more of this series. My personal favorite episodes are Black Sabbath Paranoid and Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon (as well as the one on Aja).

Just watched the Steely Dan episode yesterday, always interesting to hear what the mindset/methods were behind some of the great albums.

Watch the Frank Zappa series, too. Netflix or The History Channel could do a week long mini-series on FZ. Understandable that some folks don't care for his music, I guess, but no denying the genius and talent of this dood.

Does it include the story about Chuck Rainey sneaking some pop bass into "Peg", against the maestros' wishes? Kind of funny.

Yes. He put moved a partition over near where he was sitting so he could do what HE knew was right. Dam hippies, always fighting authority.

They may have something on Beefheart, too, that'd be real interesting.

I always wondered if he had actually seen two flamingos in a fruit fight. He makes the comparison with such authority.
