Another timber matching question

If the CS400(i) is a relatively close timber match to my Peerless RTA-12B's then how far off are the RT55i? I might have a chance, if they haven't sold by the time I get the money together, to pick up a pair of RT55i's and a CS400i for $350. The CS400i wouldn't be replacing anything as I don't have a center and I could either replace my rears (Monitor 4) with the RT55i or sell the RT55i.

Or I could just pick up another Monitor 4 from Mystery and use it as a center.

Forgot to mention that it would be best if I can set my TV directly on the center until I can afford to set it up properly. Another issue I'm planning for is the Kinect sensor that will come with the Xbox One, I'm not sure where I'm going to put that either. It's a camera that typically sits in front of your TV.

When I picked up a pair of RT55's from CL, they had a CS400i with them and they sounded great together. I think they are a close match.

And I am sure people here will recommend against it, but in a bedroom, I have a 37" LCD sitting on top of a CS175 and can't see any harm in it. I put a dense, black foam drawer liner on top of it to protect the finish. And the CS400 is a LOT bigger and very sturdy, as long as the TV isn't too heavy it should be fine for a while.

Timber matching is not as important on rear speakers, but it is on the center.

It'll pretty hard to sell RT55i's here at his price.
He has them listed for almost two months now and no bite.
