Monitor 10B tweeters

I have a spare set of peerless tweeters and I'm wondering if I can do a straight swap with the existing tweeters (I think they are the silver face SL2000) or would it require a mod to the crossover?

Not a good idea for a few reasons The hole in your late 10Bs is taller then the hole for a peerless whould be. You could work around that but the drivers and Xovers are different. Best off to call polk and order RDO194s. Plug and play and they are smoother. keith
Late 10Bs 1985-87 use MW 6503s. and SL2000
Early 10Bs late 1983-85 use 6600s or 6501s and the SL1000
10As 1981-83 use 6500s and peerless (several different versions )
10s 1978-80 use 6500s (gray edeges and the Denmark made peerless
Same Xover used 1978-85 with 10s,10As and early 10Bs -
You already got the answer (no) but I faced the same decision and chose to go the RDO-194 route AND rebuilt my XO's. I have a pair of 4's w/peerless tweets that I wanted to "match", but it turns out that swapping the SL2000's for the 194's was better all around (they match well enough).Yamaha RX-A2050 AVR (5.0.2); LG OLED77C2 4K TV(4) Polk Monitor 10B's w/SoniCaps, Mills, and RDO-194 tweets (R/L F/R)(2) Polk RC80i (Top Middle)Polk CS300 center channelAnalog: B&O TX2 Turntable, Nakamichi Cassette Deck 1Digital: Pioneer CLD-99 Elite LD, Panasonic DMP-UB900 UHD Blu-RayBedroom: Arylic Up2Stream AMPv3 driving Polk Monitor 4's w/peerless tweets

Thanks for the responses. I guess I'll hold on to the peerless tweeters as spares for my RTA-12Bs.

Geppy,
Thanks for the info on the tweeters. I remember you as a real RTA 12 expert. I have a set of RTA-12B cabinets I'm getting ready to toss out but if you would like them you're welcome to them. Or anyone else who could use them. I was going to make a LF-14 subwoofer out of one but picked up a LF-14 with the Monitor 10Bs I got. -
Somebody have a pic of the 194 tweeter?

Here is a picture of a 194 tweeter mounted on the bracket for a RTA 12C.
