Have any of you used Dr. Dans Vintage Audio Repair in Littleton? I found him on Craigslist and says he does repairs on Sunfire/Carver and would look at my TGR3 and get me an estimate. There are others, out of the area, who come with great references and experience. However, the shipping would be a good portion of the costs.
Not sure when I will get down to the Denver area to get it to him but could be an option. Thanks.

I'd be interested in a response too. He quoted me $200 to do my Yamaha CA-1010. I guess he does warranted repairs for Gold Sound in Englewood, which is a place I have bought a pair of Wharfeldale bookshelf speakers from before. That put enough confidence in him to email him in the first place.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.

TGR3, is that short for Theater Grand Receiver 3? If so I would check if their are even parts available as IIRC the Theater Grand Receiver's are out of parts and good boat anchors if something serious is wrong with it. Double check me on that of course. Both Rolland and Tom would know about parts availability though as you mention, shipping is expensive.
I know the Theater Grand Pre-Amps still have parts available, and actually got a repaired TGP-II recently and am in love myself."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." Not super familiar, I would PM nooshinjohn on this one, but if the boards have any issues thats where you cant get parts I believe. If its just some cap's or resistors you might be ok, but again, I am NOT an expert on this, just remember seeing something about a lack of parts for the receivers."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." Yes sir - Theater Grand Receiver III. And, I don't have a use for a boat anchor as I don't own a boat.7.3 HT: Sunfire TGR-3, Sunfire Series II, Mirage OMD-28, OMD-5 (x4), REL T1 (2), T2, Oppo 103D, Optoma HD8200PRO, 106" screen, SB Touch
