One time I met Johnny Winter and was told that he didn't remember playing at Woodstock. As I recall, the original movie and album made no mention of him. Apparently, though, he played at Woodstock. I guess now there is a recent interview of Johnny indicating that he remembers being helicoptered in and some vague details of the show. I think perhaps they have uncovered some film and/or audio of his performance. I would like to see that. Anybody know anything about this?

Dro...he did play at Woodstock. There is a box set called Woodstock Expierence that have the live sets and studio albums that the artists had out at the time..Johnny...Santana...Janis...Sly Stone, and Jefferson Airplane...

Lots of bands that played didn't make the movie or soundtrack albums. If you can't hear a difference, don't waste your money.

Woodstock ......wow! Now that's going back some! I was 14 at the time and was mad because my parents wouldn't let me go, lol. Music moved so fast in the 60's. I saw the Beatles debut on the Ed Sullivan Show back in 1963 (yeah, TV's were only Black and White then....[omg, am I that old? lol]). They totally shook up the music world and in just 6 years later we had Woodstock. I learned to play guitar by listening to vinyl. 8 track tapes had not even been invented yet (hell yes.....you're really that old!) The Woodstock era was a great time to be alive. I wouldn't trade those years for anything in the world!Living Room: HK AVR 354 as pre/pro, 2 x Polk Audio Micropro 4000, Adcom GFA-7500, 2 x Mirage OMD-15

Yea those sure were different times....I've found good tunes from every decade I've been alive, but I think the 60's into the early 70's are the most definitive for the music industry as a whole. Maybe it was just my age then but I tend to gravitate to that time! Like the Kinks said...Where Have All The Good Times Gone?

It is hard NOT to wax nostalgic when one looks back to the music of this time. Then one looks in the mirror and realizes how old he/she looks and wonders "where have all the good times gone?". (Kinks--great stuff!)

I'd rather wane maaan.....the 70's were definitive and I blame Woodstock for the subsequent 10 years of music production directly. I feel the direction of the music beyond that is a direct product of those three glorious days but the immediate Ten Years After were were nothing short of a mud slide into musical bliss caused by the flow of creativity gained or displayed at Max's.Too much **** to list....
