Happy Birthday indeed. Tull's 2003 Montreux concert on blu-ray is still one of the best ones I have. In 1989 I took my daughter, a fledgling flute player, to see them live, her first concert of this sort and a great father/daughter memory for us. She went on to be a choice for the national high school honour band, and I always think back to that night when she was so mesmerized by Ian Anderson's playing (especially the "on one leg" moments) thinking it may have pushed her a little to strive to be better. Ahhh memories...

considering the 6 or 7 hour time difference I hope Ian had a happy birthday. I hope he ( Really don't mind if you sit this one out ) as of late Jethro Tull is my favorite band and i'm only Catfish Rising, and Tull.com away from having all of their releases. I will listen to Nightcap latter on and perhaps have a night cap with it.

I got to see them twice during their USA Aqualung tour.

Sure wish that consumer video cameras had been invented then.

I must have somehow known this - I played Aqualung friday night. Hadn't heard it in years. Amazing album! Reminds me of college and a recently deceased buddy.

One of the loudest concerts I ever attended, couldn't hear for several days, thought I had permanent hearing damage.
