+1. Not without seeing it and a test drive.

My advice is don't do it. Unless it is some semi-rare car that can't be found locally. Prices are usually not that great once you factor in shipping the car, or travelling to get it.
For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

EBAY and cars. Bad idea. CL is bad enough.

You can't even negotiate reduced shipping properly on EBAY, absolutely not!!!!

On second thought, go ahead. We need the cheap amusement.

When's there's nothing on cable, you surf EBAY.
When you surf EBAY, you buy a car sight unseen.
When you buy a car sight unseen, you get Jimmy Hoffa in the trunk.
When you have Jimmy Hoffa in the trunk, you get a visit from the FBI.
Don't get a visit from the FBI, go listen to some tunes.

I remember a local man was selling a car on Ebay. He lived within 2 miles of me so I was able to go check it out thoroughly and test drive it. I bid on it, but was outbid at the end by a man who lived up in Montana or Wyoming?. I guess if the seller is local, why not give it a go and check the vehicle out?

I bought a car that was ON eBay, but I didn't use eBay to buy it. The car was an hour away, and the seller was asking way to much on eBay. Once the auction ended with no bids, I contacted the guy, went down to check out the car and made him a cash offer on the spot. I got the car.

With that said, I would never buy a car without being able to check it out first. Pictures never give an idea of how a car actually runs, just some view of how it looks - and even then the pictures are only what the seller wants you to see.
