Hello,
This was on a pro tape enthusiast group and I thought CP members might appreciate it. This is about a man who has been servicing Revox equipment for a long time in Brazil, Dr. Getulio Cinquetti done by Paulo Barros. You can spot lots of Revox gear in the video.

Enjoy, Ken

Wow! You sense the experience and knowledge he possesses!
This reminds me of an old fellow’s house I was at last year. I needed some tubes tested before I sold them with the gear. I found his name on a web site for old radio repair, Lee Petrie. He specialized in pre 50’s radio repair. He felt the '50s radios lacked character. His living room was repair central. Narrow paths to walk through single file. Dining room was parts inventory. No books on tubes past the 50’s. He was building an AC power converter for a radio as many of them old radios were battery operated. It was like a trip back in time.Salk SoundScape 8's * Audio Research Reference 3 * Bottlehead Eros Phono * Park's Audio Budgie SUT * Krell KSA-250 * Harmonic Technology Pro 9+ * Signature Series Sonore Music Server w/Deux PS * Roon * Gustard R26 DAC / Singxer SU-6 DDC * Heavy Plinth Lenco L75 Idler Drive * AA MG-1 Linear Air Bearing Arm * AT33PTG/II & Denon 103R * Richard Gray 600S * NHT B-12d subs * GIK Acoustic Treatments * Sennheiser HD650 * -
Very cool. As a teenager I lusted after Revox gear.
H9"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass Pass Labs XA25 | EE Avant Pre | EE Mini Max Supreme DAC | MIT Shotgun S1 | Pangea AC14SE MKII | Legend L600 | BlueSound Node 3 - Tubes add soul! -

Good, I'm glad the thread was interesting. By the way do we have any Brazilian members here? If so, it would be great to have you post!
