We keep hearing about how great Emo is, then they buy Carver. Now this.

"And you said, “Why don’t you take the best of Sherbourn and merge it with Emotiva?”"

Shouldn't it be the other way around? Take the best from Emo and improve Sherbourn.

Anyway, the end result should be better entry level gear, and possibly a step up.

Emotiva bought Sherbourn over 3 years ago. Those Sherbourn amps are Emotiva designs, just look at the interior pictures.

They discontinued several Emotiva amps a couple years ago (like the 7x150w), more than doubled the prices, and rebadged them as Sherbourn. No one fell for it.

I don't see what the big deal is. Jade Design, more or less the parent company, already owns Emo and Sherbourn.

    Sherbourn Technologies, LLC

    Franklin, TN 37064

    Emotiva Audio Corporation
    135 SE Parkway Court

Having heard products from both neither is going to improve the other, IMO.

So, I'm reading a thread on another audio forum where the OP has built some speakers that are a bit rolled off at the top end and he's looking for a bright amp. Emo amps got recommended the most....go figure, LOL
