hooking up two subs

Hi,
I just bought my first home theater system and would like some advice on setting it up. I have an Onkyo 501 reciever, polk Rm 7200 speakers, and the free 202 sub. I am currently running the front speakers through the 202 sub and running the PSW 550 sub using the sub out on my reciever. I have the crossover on the reciever set at 120hz.
I keep reading that you should set the fronts to large and the rears to small, but I can't find a way on my amp to set it like that. I am very happy with the sound right now, except I think that it is lacking in the midrange on some music. Does anyone have any other suggestions on setting this system up differently that might improve my situation?
Thanks in Advance

Hey you might consider not using your 202 and just let your 550 handle it since you have your crossover set at 120hz the 202 probably won't add much to your sound. From what I've heard most people use the sub out and set their sub crossover at 80hz, letting their fronts pick up the rest of the frequencies. I'm not sure how to set the speaker size on your reciever.... you might want to talk to someone like Russman who knows a bit more about amps and stuff.

Don't run the front speakers through the sub. Use a y-splitter from the subout to go to both of the subs. Set all speakers to small. You will have dramatic improvements in mid-range after you do this.
