    Enjoying The Mad Elf by Troegs. My camera is not working properly or I would take a pic. At 11% ABV it isn't nearly as a "bite you in the ****" beer as other high abv's that I've tried. Still, I won't go past 2 a night. A man's gotta know his limitations, right Clint?

    Double Cannon DIPA from Heavy Seas has been my go-to weekend beer for a couple months now. 9.5% and not boozy at all. At $9.99 a sixer, its a no brainer.

    If you snag more than a few bottles of the Bourbon County, this ages well too. 1 year is how long I laid mine down.

    Bob, I'm no cicerone nor do I keep tasting notes. But if you're familiar with the hop assault 120 Minute lays on you, it is completely absent after four years of aging this batch. The bottling date is 1/14/15 so it's essentially four years old. The first thing you notice is heat, the hop profile may be gone but the alcohol isn't. You're definitely going to be sipping this one. Typically 15%-18% ABV. I believe I may have imbibed this a bit too chilled. I'm going to decant a bottle for maybe 30 minutes and see if the malt profile become more apparent. This becomes more like a barley wine or brandy as it ages. A bit sweeter also.
