The Titanium Zildjians or ZXT

Is that a great name for a band or what?
I found a 16" Medium to Thick "Rock Crash" Zildjian "ZXT" cymbal. No cracks in the bell or anywhere, the grooves aren't even dirty yet. Some weird circular patterns are uniform throughout, so definitely not hand hammered. I will more than likely ship this thing to my brother. How did he do?
There is no info on the Zildjian website, and I have been out of the game for a very long time. I used K. Zildjian exclusively when I was a player.

I think the ZXT line replaced the ZBT line which was their bottom basement "free with a drum set" line of cymbals. I know many people are perfectly happy with these depending on the style of music they play. I'd consider you a pretty good brother. I still have my Zildjian K cymbals and they will not be going anywhere!Display: LG 47" LCD | AVR: Marantz SR5005 | BD: Panasonic BDT-210 | CD/SACD: Oppo 980 |

The line is...
ZBT, ZHT, ZXT. The ZXT has more emphasis over seas due to exchange rates.
the ZHT is a solid performer.
the ZXT titaniums were extremely bright cymbals that were short lived. They are one step below before you get to the cast line up Zildjian offers.- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -

I think its amazing the lineup available today. I can't believe I let my old K Custom 20" ride go. It was one of the early re-issued K series from the early 80's...I was in High School and was really getting into jazz...so the K's were special.
I really need to put together a set here soon...and start playing more. How fun will it be to finally collect a bunch of Zildjian sounds. Always wanted to mimic a Dave Weckl setup: http://drumsetgallery.pschuetz.com/images/kits/dave_weckl.png
Seems I only had, hats, ride, and two crash for all of my active giging days...I need to find an ambitious basement band to get that special feeling back...I miss the creativity.2.2 Office Setup | LG 29UB55 21:9 UltraWide | HP Probook 630 G8 | Dell Latitude | Cabasse Stream Amp 100 | Boston Acoustics VS 240 | AUDIORAX Desk Stands | Mirage Omni S8 sub1 | Mirage Omni S8 Sub2 -
I used to play with a bunch of toms and cymbals in my kit but there's something wonderful about setting up or tearing down in about 15 minutes. Just a 4 piece for me now that I'm back to gigging.
Thanks for the info VR3. I've never even heard of the ZHT line. I haven't shopped cymbals in 10+ years.Display: LG 47" LCD | AVR: Marantz SR5005 | BD: Panasonic BDT-210 | CD/SACD: Oppo 980 |

I wouldn't want anything from any of the budget Zildjian Z-something-T sheet bronze lines. If you're looking for cymbals on a budget there are better options. Paiste comes to mind. I understand something is better than nothing, but those things just sound awful IMO. If I were to receive one as a gift, it would go straight to eBay.

I guess I'll try to keep my brother from reading that.
