Even though Gary Rossington, and Ricky Medlocke are the only original members left ( yes Medlocke was an original member). He did not stay long when the band first started out. I really don't care for this version of the band Johnny van zant dont do it for me. The wife got free passes and gave them to me, so me and a buddy are going. I guess as long as the beers are ice cold its something to do. BTW Johnny Colt ex Black Crowes is now a member. I bet they Encore with Freebird what are the odds of that?

    Cant beat free, Medlocke is as great a showman as any of the skynyrd guys, very talented.

    First and last has a pic of the band with him.

    I feel the same way you do about Skynyrd, but free is free.

    They played here a few months ago. Overall it was a decent show.

    A better show than I expected this was a grandstand act at the fair, the temps were in the 70's thanks to a cold front thanks Canada. It was Budweiser ice cold typical fair beer but they went down good. They started with a tip of the hat to JJ Cale and started with Call Me The Breeze pretty cool, lots of older stuff didn't know any of the new stuff as I only own up to Street Survivors. As always The Bird was the Encore tune.
