amp power and speaker capability (again)

I've searched old posts here and in other forums and think I know the answer to this but will ask again to be sure: I have speakers that are rated for up to 100w/ch (Monitor 7C, M3II) although the rears will likely be RT35i (125w/ch) and the center be the CS400i (up to 250w/ch). I'm considering amp/receiver options and for the most part am looking at models advertised as no more than 100w/ch, although in case the budget somehow allows, I'm also investigating the Outlaw 750 (165w/ch). From what I read I am under the impression that unless I were to push the amp to levels far louder than I'd actually listen to, the speakers are not likely to be damaged (far greater risk would be from an underpowered/un"clean" amp).

Have I got this right? In particular, anyone using the Outlaw 750 with small-to-medium Polks?
Main HT (family room): Polk Monitor 7 (1987-original owner) (L/R) / CSi40 (C) / RTi38 (SL/SR) / SVS 20-39PC (sub), Outlaw 975 pre/pro / Outlaw 7075 amp, Oppo BDP-93 Blu-ray, LG 42LM5800 teevee
2ch (family room): CRS+ (1987), Outlaw 1050 AVR, Denon DCM-420 CD
Kitchen satellite 2ch: Polk M3II, Topping TP-20 Tripath amp fed from 975 rec line out
Home office: Model 5 (1978-Danish Peerless), Lepai 2020A+ Tripath amp fed by laptop dock

yes, lots of good clean power to your speakers isn't going to hurt them. just don't overdrive them. you'll know the listening limits when you start to hear distortion...

never listened to an outlaw reciever/amp, but most that own them seem to be happy with them.

You would be fine with that amp. You will find that at using lots of good clean power will not hurt your speakers. At normal listening levels you won't even come close to using the max power.

    Like I said I use a Carver m1.5t (351wpc) on my RT7's which I believe are rated at 150wpc. I haven't had a problem yet.

can you relate to another reciever's 'sound' to the outlaw. i mean, does it have a warmer denon sound, or a powerful yamaha presence? i would be intereted in getting one of these, i just wish there was someway to demo the sound quality...

I to am thinking about getting a outlaw 1050. I havent heard anything bad about them sofar, the only things I have heard is there awsome. It looks really good and high end. I was also thinking about getting some outlaw cables, does anybody have any experiance with these cables? I looked at a couple of pics of them and they look really high end, they look like 500-$600 cables, but they sell 1.8m RCA cables for $30.00! Killer price for what you get.

I know a little about them. They set up shop in Durham, NH which is about 15 mins. from my parents house. My brother has heard the 1050 and claims it is pretty awesome. Apparently the skinny is (this is the scuttlebut around town) that they design the products and then subcontract out overseas to have them built so they have virtually no overhead plus they only sell online.

Personally, I am kind of stoked about the A/V preamp that they are coming out with......
